For over 40 years we’ve made it a priority to give back to the community that has supported us through thick and thin. This page celebrates our amazing community and the incredible amount of money we’ve all raised together.

Nigel was a keen sports enthusiast but especially rugby and supported the club for many years.

Supporting local clubs started early
1991 and the bike hire is in its 8th year, the local football team were the first team in Wadebridge to have their kit sponsored by Bridge Bike Hire. They were the first of many.
I have to say though - I do think Adam stole the show!
Nigel’s Projects
Nigel never stopped raising money for Cancer Research and care after his brain tumour in the 1980s. In 2014 he raised thousands again, thanks to the support of the local community with his ride from Vancouver to Seattle at the grand age of 69!
Cornwall Hospice Care
For many years Bridge Bike Hire have supported Cornwall Hospice Care with donations of free bike hire for participants in their fund raising Santa cycle to Padstow raising thousands for this wonderful cause.
Ben Oliver - T33 International Champion
We’ve always done our best to support local talented individuals from all sports and when Ben came to us needing money for a new wheelchair bike we did all we could to support him on his mission - and just look how well he did!
Dementia Revolution
When Kelly decided she was going to run the marathon for Dementia Revolution, a charity set up specifically for the 2019 London Marathon supporting 6 research groups across the country with funding for research into different areas, it quickly became a family affair with events held at Bridge Bike Hire and early morning bike rides.

British Red Cross
When Bernie had the chance to help raise funds for Ukraine she took the bull by the horns and sold some bikes to help raise money for the Red Cross Appeal.
Over the years we’ve also donated bikes to Romania and money through the local Rotary club for the Turkey Earthquake Appeal.
