Booking
To avoid disappointment, we recommend that you book to hire all bikes through our website.
Bikes can be hired on the day in store but this is entirely dependant on availability.
We offer evening rides on a first come first served basis during busy months.
Bikes can be hired for a period of 3 hours or for all day
When booking online for a full day bikes must be back before dark.
Opening times change between seasons.
Winter Opening: 9am – 4pm
Summer: 8am - late depending on demand.Helmets are advised and are available FOC with all bikes hired.
Puncture repair kits and locks are included with the hire.
Bikes can be collected throughout the day.
Photo ID e.g. driving licence or passport is required for security purposes.
You must be over 18 years of age to hire a bike.
Under 18’s need to be accompanied by an adult.
The bicycle hire agreement is secured with your debit/credit card.
The hirer is liable if any damage is caused to the bikes and helmets whilst in their care. This damage includes punctures.
When Booking Online
When booking online you will receive a provisional booking followed by a booking confirmation via email. You will only receive a confirmation email when payment is complete.
If no confirmation email is received:
Payment will be completed when you arrive.
Please note that your bikes will be released one hour after your selected collection time unless you notify us via phone or email that you will be late.
Hire Agreement
The hirer is fully responsible for their action whilst using the hire bike. Bridge Bike Hire do not accept responsibility for the actions of the participant nor the consequences of such actions.
Your bikes will have been checked before your collection. If you are unhappy at all with your bike on collection, please inform a member of staff straight away. Any faults must be reported immediately. You must not ride a bike you believe to be faulty, inform a member of staff, call the workshop or if you are in Padstow visit Padstow Bike Hire who will either fix or provide a replacement for you.
Each rider is responsible for providing their own insurance protection while using a hire bike. Any accident or injury caused by the rider’s actions will be the full responsibility of said rider.
Each participant will be fully responsible for any fees or costs incurred or arising from an accident either involving or caused by the rider.
The hirer, upon signing the booking form, agrees that their whole party for whom they are hiring bikes, are physically and mentally capable of riding the hire bike.
The booking form must be completed by a person aged 18 years or over. Evidence of age may be requested.
Riders under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
It is strongly recommended that all persons hiring from us wear a cycle helmet at all times whilst using the bikes. These are provided Free Of Charge by Bridge Bike Hire.
Bridge Bike Hire is not responsible for damage to clothing and/or personal items.
Please dress appropriately for the weather
The hirer agrees to return the bike to the hire bike staff. Failure to return the bike will result in Bridge Bike Hire recovering the full retail value of the bike from the agreement signee. This will be done via the credit card details used to pay and held by securely by Stripe.
The rider is responsible for any negligent damage caused to the bike. The cost of any damage caused (over and above standard wear and tear) will be recovered from the signee, including but not limited to, skidded tyres and buckled wheels. This will be done using the deposit held on Stripe.
Photo ID may be requested before the hire bike(s) will be released to the participants. Only nationally recognised forms of ID will be accepted i.e. Photo driving license and passport.
We will endeavour to provide the bike(s) which you have booked, but we reserve the right to substitute your booked bikes for a bike(s) of the same specification.
Please bring a copy of your booking confirmation when collecting your bikes.
Age restrictions apply for electric bikes, you can ride an electric bike if you are 18 or over.
General Terms & Conditions
These terms and conditions cannot be varied except in writing signed by a Director of Bridge Bike Hire.
Statutory Rights
These Terms and Conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a customer.
