The Camel Trail
Things To Do/Visit/See
First you need to book your bikes for the Camel Trail!
No trip to the Camel Trail would be complete without a bike ride. We’ve been hiring bikes on the Camel Trail for over 40 years and we still love it!
We have bikes for everyone, young, old, less mobile and even the family dog!
We look forward to seeing you soon!
Free! Picnics, Parks & Playgrounds
There are picnic spots galore along the trail in all directions. From disused platforms to picnic benches and hidden beaches at low tide. Just make sure you leave everything as you found it and take your rubbish with you. There are bins at the end of every major section of the Camel Trail.
Wadebridge has a large park within easy reach of the trail extending across both sides of the river. With lots of space to run off any extra energy there’s also lots of climbing and exploring spaces for youngsters.
There’s a smaller park as you come off the trail in Bodmin. Padstow has a small park, just up the hill as you leave the carpark, next to the library.
Places To Eat
Always one of the most important things to think about when planning your adventures!
We are very lucky to have so many delicious places serving wonderful food all around the Camel Trail. I’ve split them into sections to help you.

Open seasonally The Camel Trail Tea Garden is well known for their delicious food, especially their cream teas, they serve a lovely variety of lunches and cakes and some nice local drinks too.
