Following a month or so living out of a suitcase - it was great to get back to life on the Trail. I have to say that cycling Mallorca was a joyous experience and Canada can do no wrong for me anyways, having said that for City Cycling Vancouver takes some beating with all the main feeder roads and bridges having lanes protected by concrete blocks, very safe, very impressive.
Back to Camel Trail business - please be aware that there is considerable works traffic shuttling between the roundabout outside our Hire Shop and the Sewage Works. Also the Wadebridge Padstow section having been trimmed it is now the turn of the upriver section to be cut back so just watch out for heavy machinery.
With a mixed bag of weather I have ridden the Trail most days and even when it is mizzley the upside is the scent and aroma coming from the Honey Suckle - the abundance of Dog Roses is another bonus.
If you are a regular Trail user please make the effort to make your way up to Poleys Bridge where the new Salmon Sculpture commissioned by St Tudy School is well worth the effort in itself and a little further on more and more people are discovering Snails Pace Cafe at the top end of the path at Wenford Bridge, in fairness which ever way you go along this glorious Camel Trail for sure you will have a special day out.
Safe Cycling
